G-7

G-7 Machining

G-7 is a glass-silicone laminate that has good electrical properties under humid and wet conditions, excellent arc and heat resistance, and is self-extinguishing. While G-7 doesn't maintain its strength as well as some phenolics and glass-epoxy based materials in normal conditions, it offers better strength in higher temperatues, up to 200°C.

Common applications of G-7

  1. Arc barriers and Isolation plates
  2. Electrical Insulation
  3. Spacers, wedges, shafts, sleeves
  4. Transformers
  5. Telecom Equipment
  6. Welding Tips

When standard thermoset materials just won't cut it, G-7 steps up to the plate. Its unique combination of thermal stability, electrical properties, and dimensional stability makes it invaluable in applications where reliability is non-negotiable. Whether you're designing high-temperature electrical components or need a material that won't back down from tough industrial conditions, G-7 deserves a spot on your shortlist.
