Canvas Phenolic

cnc machined canvas phenolic part

Canvas Phenolic materials are high pressure laminates that are made by applying heat and pressure to layers of canvas cloth that are impregnated with synthetic thermosetting resins. The application of heat and pressure to various layers of material over prolonged periods leads to polymerization of the individual layers into a single laminated material that when finished is a fully cured set shape such as a sheet or plate. Canvas-based phenolics provide good wear resistance, low moisture absorption, and good mechanical strength at an economical cost. Canvas-based phenolics are also readily available in sheet, rod, and tube.
